On the 18th of March Dan Sheridan Christopher McGlinchey our team manger/cheef/driver Tom Sheridan and myself set off for the first British national of the year.We set off early morning Friday so arrived at Nant G around mid day.When we arrived had a quick bite to eat then set up the pits,Followed by walking the track.I wasnt sure what to expect as it was my first ever british national,After walkin the track i was looking forward to saturday practice and the track was Tight,Technical,rocky and steep followed by about a minute sprint to the finish.
Up early Saturday morning after a good nights sleep to se it had been lashing rain all night,got geared up in my waterproofs and headed up for my first run,The track was really wet but was so much fun,got in around 5/6 runs and was feeling comfortable for sunday race day.
After another night of Rain up early sunday mornin to go up for the last few hours of practice,I only did the one run sunday morning as i wanted to be fresh for seeding run,
Headed up for my seeding run at around 11,Was fairly nervious at the top but i got warmed up and set off,I tryed to go as fast as i could but had a crash and still came over the line 9 seconds ahead so i was very happy and felt good for the final.
Race run came and i was feeling good.set off and just tryed to have a good run with no mistakes,came over the line 5 seconds ahead so was still very happy t.o take the lead in my first british national.Was a savage weekends racing :)
